IU and Park Bo-gum are all set to star in an upcoming Korean drama When Life Gives You Tangerines.
On Tuesday, the makers of the series took to Instagram and confirmed that the series will be released on the OTT in 2024.
Sharing the pictures of the cast, they wrote, "What a stellar cast! Starring IU, Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, and Park Hae-joon, When Life Gives You Tangerines (working title) traces the adventures of Ae-sun, 'the remarkable rebel' from Jeju Island, and Gwan-sik, 'the unyielding iron.'"
View this post on InstagramThe upcoming drama When Life Gives You Tangerines is penned by popular writer Lim Sang-chun, known for his work on Fight For My Way and When the Camellia Blooms, and will be directed by Kim Won-seok, who has previously worked on Misaeng (Incomplete Life), Signal, and My Mister.
As per reports, IU will take on the role of Ae-sun, hailing from Jeju Island and is depicted as an ambitious and rebellious individual who challenges her predetermined destiny.
While, Park Bo-gum will take on the role of Gwan-sik, a steadfast character who communicates through actions rather than words. With a sincere and pure heart, he has only ever loved Ae-sun.
In addition, Moon So-ri and Park Hae-joon will portray older versions of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik.
