Charlene Shizue Ideta, 70 of Wailuku, Maui passed away on February 4, 2020 at her residence under the care of Hospice Maui. She was born to Masatsugu and Ikiko Watanabe on August 27, 1949 in Puunene, Maui.

She worked as a reservation agent and PBX/administration assistant at Sheration Maui for over 35 years. Private services were held on March 14, 2020 at Nakamura Mortuary. Charlene is survived by her mother Ikiko Watanabe; brother James (Linda) Watanabe; husband Ronald Ideta and three children, Ryan (Nikki) Ideta, Leah Ideta and Brandon Ideta; five grandchildren, Aaron Ideta, Blake Ideta, Kaiya Ideta, Lily Ideta Gomes, Lana Ideta Gomes.

Charlene volunteered at Lahainaluna High School with daily office activities and Lahaina Hongwanji Mission with fundraising events. She loved her card making and scrapbooking. Her favorite past time would be spending time with her grandchildren.
